Bonjour tout le monde đź‘‹
I’m Shivani Singh Vimal, the founder of FrenchbyShivani, My French journey began in 2019 at Amity University. When I first entered my French class, I didn’t know a single word. It was my first time learning a foreign language. Confusing, challenging, yet deeply fascinating. The pronunciation felt foreign, the rhythm was musical, and something about this language captured my heart.
Over time, French became more than a subject. It became my identity, something that pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me grow as a person.

From Learner to Teacher
During my studies, I started working part-time as a French trainer at Multibhashi. My mornings began with classes and evenings with assignments and somewhere in between, I realized that teaching gave me a sense of fulfillment I had never felt before. Watching my students progress, helping them pronounce their first “Bonjour” correctly, and seeing their excitement made me realize: I didn’t just love French ‘I loved helping others learn it’.

When Comfort Didn’t Feel Like Fulfillment
In my final year, I was placed at Amazon as a French Catalogue Associate. It was everything I thought I wanted, stability, recognition, a proud moment for my family.
But as time passed, I felt something missing. The corporate world was comfortable, yet I missed the emotional connection I had with teaching. I missed watching people grow. I missed the spark. After a year, I made one of the hardest and most defining decisions of my life ‘on 30 June 2023, I resigned’.

From Judgment to Awakening (2023–2025)
Leaving a secure job to follow your passion sounds romantic, until the world starts questioning your choice. Between mid-2023 and early 2025, I faced harsh criticism and judgment. My relatives whispered:
“Once a failure, always a failure.”
Those words hurt deeply. I stopped meeting people. I started doubting myself. There were sleepless nights — nights filled with silence, overthinking, and self-doubt. I kept asking myself, Did I make a mistake? Was I wrong to choose passion over stability? But even in those quiet hours of doubt, a small voice inside me kept saying, keep going ‘So I did’, While everyone doubted me, I worked silently, improving my pronunciation, refining my communication, and building my teaching philosophy from scratch.
And slowly, everything began to change. Students started sending messages like -:
“You made me fall in love with French.”, “Your way of explaining makes everything simple.” ,“I finally feel confident when I speak.”
Those words healed me. They became my turning point, proof that I wasn’t a failure, I was simply creating a different kind of success.

Meeting the Mentor Who Changed Everything
During this rebuilding phase, I met Mr. Frank Martin, a native French teacher whose approach transformed my entire understanding of language learning. He showed me that grammar is essential, but it’s not everything, true fluency comes from connection, communication, and confidence. His words reshaped how I saw teaching and learning. “Teach French not as a rulebook, but as a rhythm, something you live and feel.” That single idea became the foundation of FrenchbyShivani.

Not Just a Brand — A Belief
I didn’t create French by Shivani to become famous. I created it to give students the kind of mentor I once wished for, someone who listens, understands, and truly helps them grow. I want to guide students who are currently struggling in their own French journey, because I know exactly how it feels to ask for help from someone already successful in that field, and still not be helped. That experience taught me empathy, and it’s why I make sure no learner ever feels alone in my class. I know what it’s like to be judged, to cry through sleepless nights, and to feel invisible. But I also know how powerful it feels to rise quietly, confidently, and with purpose. Every student I teach is a reflection of my own journey, a reminder that growth takes time, but faith turns every delay into destiny.

My Teaching Philosophy
At French by Shivani, learning isn’t about memorizing rules, it’s about experiencing the language. Every session is personal, structured, and purpose-driven and designed to help master grammar, pronunciation, and real-life conversation. I make sure my students don’t just learn French but they start thinking in it. Because language isn’t only about words, it’s about confidence, clarity, and expression.
Here’s what I believe in:
🌍 Connection: Real conversations that feel natural.
đź—Ł Confidence: Practice without fear of judgment.
🎯 Clarity: Structured progress at your own pace.
When you learn with heart, the results follow naturally.

My Journey, My Faith
From 2019 to 2025, my story has been one of struggle, resilience, and rediscovery. But every setback taught me something important and that purpose is stronger than opinion. French gave me identity, direction, and confidence. Now, it’s my mission to help others experience that same transformation. If you’ve ever doubted yourself or felt stuck, remember “you’re not behind, you’re just becoming”. With effort, patience, and the right guidance, you’ll not only learn French and you’ll fall in love with it.
Because when passion leads, success follows naturally. đź’«
